Contact the desk
Tallyhand takes correspondence at one address. Use it for questions about the instruments, corrections to the field guide, feedback on an atlas pin, or questions about how this site is published.
Optional: choose a subject line
Your mail app will open addressed to hello@year2140.org.
Before you write
What helps us most
A short, specific message is easier to act on than a long one. Name the page you mean and the part of it you are writing about.
- The page, and the section or pin, by the name it has on this site.
- What you expected to find, and what you found instead.
- A suggested change, written as the sentence you would like to see.
- Whether you would like to be credited for a correction, and the name to use.
Please leave out
What not to send
- Personal documents
- Please do not send property papers, account details, identity documents, or records about a private person. Describe the kind of record you have instead.
- Requests for advice
- The desk cannot give personal financial, legal, medical, or engineering advice, and it cannot say what to buy, sell, or build. Those questions belong with a qualified professional.
- Requests for forecasts
- Tallyhand does not publish predictions about 2140. Questions about the obligations a decision creates are welcome.
Handling
What happens to your message
Messages sent to hello@year2140.org are read by the desk. Corrections that improve a page are made on the page itself, so the next reader sees the fixed version rather than a note about it.
Questions that need a professional answer are referred to the people who can give one, and the desk says so plainly rather than guessing.
